A ministry of First Presbyterian Church
The mission of First Presbyterian Preschool is to provide a safe environment where young children from various faith traditions and cultures are given opportunities to learn about God’s love through the fostering, acceptance, understanding, and love provided by those who guide their development.
Calendar & Hours
We follow the Arlington I.S.D. calendar but start a week earlier in the fall.
7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Accredited nationally and by the state of Texas
Our award of accreditation by the National Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Education Programs (NAC) means we have undergone a rigorous review by child care experts. Some of the process includes: professional development plans, teacher and parent surveys, classroom observation by a NAC representative and a thorough review of our records.
We also participate in the Texas Rising Star program – where we have received the highest recognition, four stars. Programs that participate in Texas Rising Star meet higher quality standards than many other child care programs.
This designation also means FPPS exceeds the state’s minimum child care licensing standards for director and staff qualifications, caregiver-child interactions, age appropriate curricula and activities, nutrition and indoor/outdoor activities, and parent involvement and education. It means parents can feel confident that First Presbyterian Preschool will positively contribute to their children’s development.
