The Hollywood Nights Committee is in the beginning stages of organizing our 4th annual spring fundraising event! Lots of help is needed in all kinds of areas -- creative, administrative, logisitics, etc.

We are also in much need of event sponsors and help with the classroom art projects.

and a Silent & Live Auction of over 100 items/experiences!

About Hollywood Nights

Hollywood Nights is a fundraiser benefiting First Presbyterian Preschool of Arlington (FPPS). The event features a catered dinner, live entertainment, and an outstanding silent auction. The event is organized by a group of dedicated volunteers who believe in the quality education provided by FPPS. Approximately 200 people were involved in the inaugural event, held in spring 2009, including attendees, volunteers and donors. More than $20,000 was raised to benefit the children of FPPS over the last two years. Proceeds from the events have helped to provide the school:

* CD players for the classrooms

* A listening center and puppet theatre

* New major manipulative toys and other classroom improvements

* Scholarships

The 3^rd Annual Hollywood Nights Dinner & Auction will be held on April 2, 2011 at the Arlington Museum of Art and celebrate FPPS’ 40^th Anniversary. We are pleased that Jeff Jamison, Meteorologist with CBS 11 with be this year’s emcee. The fundraising goal for this year’s event is $15,000 with all contributions going to benefit the children of FPPS by supporting playground and classroom improvements.

About First Presbyterian Preschool of Arlington (FPPS)

For 40 years, First Presbyterian Preschool of Arlington has been an excellent choice for early childhood education. One of the oldest and most established pre-school programs in Arlington, FPPS provides an educationally-accredited Christian environment for children ages 6 weeks through Pre-K. The purpose of FPPS is to provide a safe, happy and nurturing environment where children can grow socially, emotionally, and cognitively. Our school welcomes staff, children, and families of all faiths, races, and backgrounds. Emphasis is placed on the uniqueness of each child so that they may learn to value others in that same way. This process is done with the consideration and care you would expect to find in a Christian environment. On a typical day our children will experience Spanish, Music, Art, Chapel, Free Play, Centers, Stories, Science, Cooking and Computers.
