It’s hard to believe the school year is coming to an end. It has been such a joy to see the children grow this year. We are looking forward to our Spring Program and a police officer visit for our three and four year olds. We hope you all have a safe wonderful summer!

Text Box: Your children and Ms. Elaine are hard at work preparing for the Spring Program Thursday May 13th at 6:30pm in the Sanctuary. The toddlers through four year old classes will be performing. Please drop your child off in his/her classroom at 6:15pm.

Hollywood

Nights Thank You!!!

Hollywood Nights was once again a huge success. The fundraiser brought in close to $10,000. We will be using these funds to make classroom improvements such as new educational toys, tables and chairs, books, and the list goes on. We want to thank all of the families and businesses who helped support our school by attending, donating auction items, and selling raffle tickets we greatly appreciate all you do! We also would like to send a big THANK YOU to the Hollywood Nights Committee who worked so hard to make this event such a success. Water Safety Class

FPPS will be hosting a Water Safety Class for parents. This class will be taught by Terri Ford a children’s safety specialist from Cook Children’s. The class will be on Tuesday May 11 at 9am in the Fellowship Hall. We hope you are able to attend and learn some tips on water safety for your children.

May 14th is the last day to register for FPPS Summer Camp. Please see the Home page for more information!

2010-2011 Registration

We are still accepting registration packets for next school year. Please make sure you have your packet turned in before summer. Stop by the   office if you need a registration packet. You will receive $50 off your       program fee if you refer a friend to FPPS.

Mother’s Day Tea

Ms. Denise and Ms. Shannon’s classes will be hosting a Mother’s Day tea on May 20 & 21 at 1:45 in the Fellowship Hall. If your child is in a three year old class, please come and enjoy the tea (invitations to follow). We hope you all have a very Happy Mother’s Day!

Teacher Appreciation Luncheon

We will be having our end of year teacher appreciation luncheons on June 1 & 2. We have the luncheon on two days to ensure all of our teachers are appreciated, as some work 2 or 3 days a week. Please contact the office at fppsarlington@hotmail.com if you are interested in bringing a main dish, salad, side, dessert, or drinks. Thank you in advance for your help!

Please remember to apply bug spray and/or sunscreen at home before dropping your children off. If you need bug spray or sunscreen applied for extended care please make sure you have signed a form in the office.
Please check our lost and found before you leave for the summer. Let us know if you have lost something and we will keep an eye out.
Please sign your child in/out each day on the attendance sheet located outside your child’s classroom. All children must be dropped off by a parent/guardian. 
We will return for the 2010-2011 school year     August 30th (one week    after AISD returns).

Summer Office Hours

The front office will be open during the summer on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9am to 3pm. The office will be closed the week of July 26-30. Please let us know if you need anything over the summer and remember the first day of school for the 2010-11 school year will be August 30th. We hope you all have a wonderful safe summer! 

 

FPCA Kids Camp Volunteers

First Presbyterian Church is having Kids Camp (Vacation Bible School) July  6-9. They are still in need of volunteers. If you are interested please contact Bill McCoy at fpca_disciple@yahoo.com.
